Mobile GMAT Testing Center Begins Second National Tour

McLean, Virginia—The GMAT Mobile Test Center, an advanced facility that brings the Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®) to college campuses across the United States, will embark this week on its second national tour. The trip is designed to allow people to take the GMAT—widely used by business schools around the world as part of the admissions process for MBA and other graduate programs—without having to travel to a permanent GMAT testing center.

The GMAT test center on wheels—a full-length bus equipped with the same technology as the hundreds of permanent GMAT test centers around the country—will make 28 stops during a seven-month trip that begins October 2, 2007, at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif. The tour is scheduled to end May 7, 2008, at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash.

The bus includes six complete GMAT testing stations, high-speed data connectivity via satellite, and electronic security systems designed to guarantee maximum security.

Nearly 400 people took the GMAT on the Mobile Test Center during its inaugural tour, which concluded in May 2007. As a result of requests from participating schools, the bus will make longer stops on this tour to provide additional flexibility to test takers.

The GMAT is a standardized exam used to screen applicants by admissions professionals at more than 3,800 graduate business programs around the world.
